I created a Facebook page instead of continuing with this blog. Link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001279328389

May 17-21
We’ll see what this week brings. I don’t have any big plans so far, but I never know what fun events might happen.

May 10-14
We spent some time in the basement this week due to the storms. The kids working on their letters and numbers took home worksheets with “t”s and “5″s written!

May 3-7
We took a fieldtrip to the farm; the kids got their first “big” horse ride. It was a great time, and the kids never want to leave!

April 26th-April 30th
E had a great 1st birthday on Tuesday. Thanks to everyone for arranging other care so that we could spend the day together.
Today (Friday) we started on our presents for Mother’s Day. I think the kids will really enjoy this project and hopefully so will the moms.

We started our monthly art project today (Wednesday)

April 12th-16th
T is thriving in care! She’s trying really hard to keep up with the other girls. It’s amazing to watch these kids play.
V gets to spend another day with us on Wednesday! We’ll be happy to have him here to play.
T started today. We’re loving having her here with us! She’s fitting in quite well.
Lunch today was peanut butter/jelly with cheese on the side.

April 5th-9th
It got cold today (Wednesday). We won’t be going outside today because it’s rainy-looking, chilly, and I don’t want the kids to get sick. Lunch was yummy eggs.
D started on Tuesday, and we had a great day getting to know her. Lunch was chicken nuggets and was gobbled up quickly! We also played really hard outside.

March 29th-April 2nd
We have a new friend coming to join us. D will start Monday.
We had a great fieldtrip to the farm. The kids got a tractor ride, fed the cows, played hard, and had a great time! We were sorry that S got sick though and couldn’t make it. We will miss seeing her every day.
S’s last day is Wednesday.
We’re sad but she’ll have a great time in her new state.
We’re celebratng S’s last day with a trip to the farm! Yay!

March 22nd-26th, 2010.
If everything goes correctly (and we don’t have a sudden snowstorm from nowhere), I would like to take a field trip to my parents’ farm on Wednesday. We’ll see lots of animals and have lots of fun!
Everyone seems to be over their sickness, so Ella and I are glad to have everyone back with us! She really misses all of her friends when they’re sick and after they leave for the day.
This week, we will continue working on the letter “p” and its sounds. We’ll work on recognizing objects that start with “p” and drawing those objects.

March 15th-19th, 2010.
*We have many sick kids this week. We’re missing everyone and hoping that everyone starts feeling better soon.
*This week our letter is “P”. We’ve been working on letter recognition and making the letter with our hands. We’ll also work on words that start with “p” and what a “p” sounds like.
I’m starting a weekly blog to let parents know how and what their children are doing in daycare. I may add a separate page that is password protected for pictures.
